A full sports booking app designed in 2–3 weeks

Case study

Sports Tech

2024

A Slovak sports startup with a full product vision, and a 2–3 week window to design the entire app

Sportio needed a single platform where players could find venues, book slots, organise groups, and manage their sporting life. The challenge was not complexity but time: a full mobile app, designed solo, ready for development handoff and launch in 2–3 weeks.

Design the complete app in a single sprint, not an MVP, every screen and flow the product needed

I was responsible for all design across 4 core tab sections supporting 7+ sports: venue discovery, slot booking with confirmation, group management with invites, and user profile with inbox. All flows needed to be connected, documented, and handed off within the sprint window.

Component library first, daily client sync second, so every mistake surfaced in hours instead of days

I built the full component library before designing any screens: buttons, inputs, cards, tab bar, avatar containers, all defined once and reused everywhere. Daily client sessions replaced weekly reviews, so design mistakes surfaced in context immediately. The key social UX decision: groups with a shared member list, invite flow, and group-linked reservations, set up in under a minute, with invitations sent directly from the group detail.

Launched on time, built right the first time, with zero major rework cycles reaching development
