A Czech platform for small business owners, built on desktop assumptions while most users were on mobile
ProPodnikave supports Czech small business owners and women-led businesses with practical resources. The platform was desktop-first in a mobile-first reality: pages took 90+ seconds to load, navigation was unclear, and returning user rates showed people were not coming back.
Lead a mobile-first redesign, with performance as a design constraint from day one
I led the redesign with a team of interns. The goal was to rebuild the platform with a mobile-first approach, cut load times drastically, restructure navigation around user intent, and introduce a notification system to drive return visits.

Navigation rebuilt around user intent, not the editorial categories the content team used internally
Every decision was evaluated on the smallest screen first. We replaced editorial category navigation with intent-driven structure: fewer items, clearer labels, a home screen surfacing the most-used features without extra taps. A structured notification system was designed to bring users back to content relevant to their business stage.

30x faster load time, 40% more returning users, measured post-launch
Page load dropped from 90+ seconds to under 3 seconds. Returning users increased by 40% after launch, with ~65% of sessions now coming from mobile.
